About…
Welcome to the Forensic Science Forum!
This Forum was built to give Forensic Science Policy & Management readers—and the entire forensic science community—the opportunity to discuss current issues in forensic science in real time. Our moderator Barry Fisher will launch discussions based on articles published in Forensic Science Policy & Management as well as other timely topics. You don’t have to be a Forensic Science Policy & Management subscriber to join the discussions here, though only subscribers will be able to access the full text of the articles being discussed. (Read about subscription options here.)
Along with the Forensic Science Policy & Management journal, the Forensic Science Forum is dedicated to improving the effectiveness, efficiency, quality, and operations of forensic science laboratories as well as the education and training of forensic scientists. In addition, we will explore the government and institutional policies that affect the practice and management of forensic science.
Ultimately, our goal is to improve and advance the field of forensic science so that it can meet rapidly increasing public needs and expectations.
Comments can be submitted to the Forensic Science Forum on any topic opened for discussion by the moderator and will be published as soon as they have been approved by the moderator. You can also register to be alerted whenever a new comment is posted, through the automatic RSS feed. There is no limit to the number of comments that can be published on any given topic, but the moderator may choose to close and archive discussions at his discretion.
The objective of moderation is to maintain a high standard of discourse. We expect comments to be more spontaneous and casual than would befit articles published in a peer-reviewed journal, but all comments posted on the Forum must be respectful, reader-friendly, and intended to move discussion or debate forward in a positive way. All posted comments will be archived and permanently citable.
