Ook verlegen studenten krijgen de kans om mee te doen. Dat is althans &#233;&#233;n van de bevindingen van Adeline Koh, docente literatuur aan het Amerikaanse Richard Stockton College. Zij experimenteerde met het gebruik van twitter tijdens de les. Een duidelijke periode waarbinnen getweet moest worden en de eis dat er ook geantwoord moest worden bracht de discussie op gang. Het overgrote merendeel van de studenten was achteraf positief over deze nieuwe vorm van interactie. Voor vele was het overigens hun eerste kennismaking met dit medium.
