The Mediterranean Politics Network offers those with an interest in the politics, international relations and economics of the Mediterranean an opportunity to exchange ideas, information, news and resources. It has been established by the Editorial Team of Mediterranean Politics and is currently facilitated through this website.
It is envisaged that at a later point, and subject to the level of interest and engagement from the wider academic community, the Network may be reformulated into an Association with formal mechanisms for membership, subscriptions, journal discounts, and related benefits. We would very much welcome comments and feedback on this possibility, including suggestions on how such an Association might best be organised and managed to service the needs of the community.
The Network is currently committed to the following regular events:
- At least one panel every two years at an international conference of the International Studies Association (ISA), the Middle East Studies Association (MESA) or the World Congress on Middle East Studies (WOCMES), beginning with WOCMES Barcelona in July 2010
- An annual panel at the conference of the British International Studies Association (BISA), from April 2011
